- Synopsis
- Roy Andersson's "Songs from the Second Floor" takes place in a small town, where a man named Karl burns down his own furniture store in an attempt to collect the insurance money. This sets off a chain of events in the town that transcend explanation as a chaos falls over the town inhabitants. As the town goes crazy and the streets are brought to a virtual standstill by a massive traffic jam, Karl comes to realize the absurdity and difficulty of leading a "normal" human life.
