- TV Series (1977-1984). 8 Seasons. 174 Episodes. Comedy. When aspiring chef Jack Tripper (John Ritter) tells landlord Mr. Roper (Normal Fell) that he is gay in order to peacefully cohabit with his two attractive female roommates, he must construct a web of lies (which proves almost impossible to unravel) in order to cover his tracks.
