Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War Zombie Mode Free for the Week
If you’ve been wanting to fight some zombies but haven’t committed to the latest Call of Duty yet, Activision has announced that Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War will have a free week specifically for its zombie mode, starting this weekend.
The free week will run from from January 14th until the 21st, and gives players a chance to try out the latest in zombie slaying. This includes the regular zombie survival map, along with a new mode called Cranked. If you’re playing on a PlayStation 4 or 5, you can also try the PlayStation exclusive Onslaught zombie mode. No matter which one you go with, the general goal is the same. You’ll buy weapons, kill zombies for points, use those points for more weapons, and try not to generally die along the way.
Zombies have been a particular favorite in Treyarch’s entries to the Call of Duty series, ever since they started with 2008’s Call of Duty: World at War. Every entry into the Black Ops sub series has included them, and several other Call of Duty developers have tried their hands at a zombie mode as well. If you want to know more about it, you can always listen to our Podcast episode focused on the new zombie mode.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is currently available on PC, PlayStation 4 and and 5, and Xbox One and Series X|S.
