A song unto the Heroes
On land and on the sea,
Who fought the fight for Truth and Right
And won us liberty.
The countless hearts courageous
That since our Island rose
Have laid life down for her renown
And overwhelmed her foes.
All hail to them, all hail to them
Where'er at rest they lie;
Though time departs, within our hearts
Their names shall never die!

Through faint and far off ages
To this our present day
Those dauntless ones 'neath many suns
For her have passed away;
Hve given their very life-blood
And found, by land and sea,
Death and the grave, to shield and save
Her honour fair and free!
All hail to them, all hail to them,
Their names shall never die!
A song then to the Heroes,
Where'er they fought and fell,
On foaming tide, on desert wide,
Their souls around us dwell;
Where'er their name they wrote there,
In this or ages past,
Upon the roll of Fame's proud scroll
They're blazoned to the last!
All hail to them, all hail to them
Where'er at rest they lie;
Though time departs, within our hearts
Their names shall never die!
