A non-notable unsourced road article. No prejudice against recreation with a proper intersection table (per WP:RJL) and infobox, and some sources. ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 19:57, 25 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- This AfD nomination was incomplete (missing step 3). It is listed now. DumbBOT (talk) 11:14, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

- Delete per above. I'll confess that I would be prejudiced against having an article about every five kilometer long "numbered road" in the world, regardless of whatever notability guidelines may have been concocted in the name of entitlement to its own special little page. Mention the damn thing in a list of roads in Oxford County, Ontario. Mandsford 21:22, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Many Ontario roads have long detailed histories that date back to colonial times. If a sourced history is possible, why is it less notable than any other topic that is covered by reliable sources? - ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 22:35, 27 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Because nearly everything has been "covered by reliable sources", and Wikipedia is not a directory of "everything that exists or has existed". Some roads are notable (I didn't see anything about county road 35 dating back to colonial times), but most are here because of the attitude of entitlement that typified Wikipedia in its early years of building. When people started making thousands of little stubby articles about their favorite things-- roads, Pokemon characters, TV episodes, athletes, bus routes, airplane incidents, etc-- there was a backlash against the product of unreasonable expectations, and people are starting to question things that were once taken for granted. - The base of notability is coverage by multiple reliable, preferably secondary, sources. - ʄɭoʏɗiaɲ τ ¢ 02:45, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Sure, but don't forget the first part of WP:N which is that it's not just coverage, it's "significant coverage". If someone can find a newspaper article, section of a book, etc. that describes the significance (as opposed to merely mentions) "County Road 35", then there's a presumption of notability there. Most county roads would not be able to demonstrate significant coverage. A whole lot of these were created in the years 2006 and 2007, usually with the same format ("Road #___ is in _____ and it runs from here to here, bye now"). More recently, we've been watching these individual articles getting consolidated into a page about the streets and roads in the area, such as in Streets of St. Louis, Missouri. Ideally, the minimal information in this and the other "road stubs" would get put into List of numbered roads in Oxford County. I may just take the initiative to add good ol' Route 35 in there myself. Mandsford 12:57, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
- Redirect back to List of numbered roads in Oxford County. If substantial material is added it can be reverted to a substantive article. Many A-class roads in England have their own articles but not minor roads. Peterkingiron (talk) 17:35, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
