Fails WP:NBASIC, there is passing coverage of Mao but nothing about him directly. He is often tied to his nonprofit and there is coverage of that nonprofit but there isn't much about him other than he shows up to things or gets a passing mention in articles. Sources include being in a Top 100 list from Forbes but that doesn't pass WP:SIGCOV. He is also known for being awarded money from the Clinton Foundation for his nonprofit but all mentions of it are passing or are just a list of award winners. Article claims Mao is a contributor for the Chicago Tribune and the Orlando Sentinel but he wrote commentaries so would not pass WP:JOURNALIST. Nonprofit also fails Wikipedia:NCHARITY, it is there but there isn't much coverage attached to it outside of one or two minor events and being listed on all of Maos profiles.

- Strong Keep The subject clearly meets the notability guidelines as there is significant coverage by major news outlets in multiple countries. There is the profile done by Fox New York here, and multiple news reports by Sing Tao Daily, one of the largest newspapers in Hong Kong. These articles, such as link and link cover in detail his interviews with Dr. Condoleezza Rice and former Canadian Foreign Minister Peter MacKay, as well as his involvement in large-scale refugee assistance efforts for Ukrainians. The Forbes awards are additional information on the page, not the whole basis of the individual's notability. Bobhowards (talk) 09:54, 12 October 2022 (UTC)17:36, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
- Delete I have also noticed the creator of the article (Bobhowards) had a draft declined for also having many sources written by the subject himself or being related with his organizations he is active in. The next day, Bobhoward created an article on the subject directly in main space by translating the article from Chinese (which again included several articles written by Mao) therefore avoiding a AfC review this time. The article has been deleted before as well. The interview on Condoleezza Rice gives a little insight on Mao's charity work and aims but much more insight on the life of Condoleezza Rice, the next interview (BTW, not accessible over the link) then I didn't google translate anymore. As to me the creation by the same editor the very next day after the draft was declined is disruptive to the Wikipedia process and the name should probably be SALTed as Dr vulpes suggested on the talk page.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 11:20, 12 October 2022 (UTC)
