AfD nomination of 2008-09 United States network television schedule

An editor has nominated 2008-09 United States network television schedule, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2008-09 United States network television schedule and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 03:59, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Membership Reconfirmation

Hello there! If you're receiving this message, it means that you are currently in the Participants category of The Office WikiProject. A message involving reconfirmation was included in the current newsletter, but it was a bit buried, and I wanted to make sure that everyone received notice of this so we can get as accurate of a count as we can. The WikiProject is currently trying to find how many users listed in the Participants section are active members, and if you have a spare moment later, it would be a big help if you noted your reconfirmation by simply signing your signature here. And if you're a non-member reading this, feel free to drop by and add your name to the reconfirmation category; you'll be added into the list once it's finished. Thanks, and have a great day! Mastrchf91 (t/c) 21:20, 7 April 2008 (UTC)

WP:LOTD

Thanks for making a nomination. Your vote at User:TonyTheTiger/List of the Day/voting/200805 would also be helpful. You can vote anytime until I get around to closing the voting. I am trying to clean up Jesse Jackson, Jr. for a main page appearance in the middle of the week so I am not sure if I will close down the voting before that, but I am suppose to close it sometime after the end of the day on the 20th, which is about a half hour from now. Anyways, if you want to help out by voicing your opinion please do so in the next day or two.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTD) 23:36, 20 April 2008 (UTC)

30 Rock

Hey, I saw your note on the 30 Rock talk page, and I wanted to know if there was anyway we could get the article to GA status! Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 13:43, 26 April 2008 (UTC)

Well I added a table for the cast section. Do you like it? Anyways I think we should change the character summaries in the table; I just used the ones from the prose above it. Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 03:33, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
Regarding the table, I was going to change the writing, to give a better description of the characters. I think just having a table looks nice. With new and proper descriptions, I think we should reinsert it. Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 02:39, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

The Rural Juror

I started collecting some info on the episode. You can see a really, really rough draft here: User:Cornucopia 2008/Sandbox gen. Do you think we have enough info to create a page for the episode? Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 04:30, 28 April 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for replying. As I said, it was a rough draft; that's why the refs weren't properly sourced and why the info wasn't in paragraphs. I'll continue to work on it. And you do know it's "refering" not "refaring"? Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 07:09, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
One question, how do I make "The Rural Juror" page? The redirect doesn't let me and I'm not sure how to do it. Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 08:51, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
The page is looking good, thanks for your contributions. I was wondering if we/I could do something to get this article to GA status. I think the production section needs some work, but I can't find anything else. A few more reviews would be good too, but I can't find any more. Please leave any suggestions on The Rural Juror talk page! Thanks! Corn.u.co.pia Discussion 07:45, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Hey, I've got some great news. The Rural Juror is now a good article! Check it out. Corn.u.co.pia Disc.us.sion 05:16, 31 May 2008 (UTC)

Good job on the DYK. Anyways I was thinking of nominating the article for GA status. There is only one citation I cannot find, but maybe I could just remove the Canadian airdate altogether. Wow! Seems like you're on an "episode page creating" spree. lol. Corn.u.co.pia ŢĐЌ Disc.us.sion 06:46, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

Good job on the new articles and GAN's. Sorry if I haven't been around, but I have been busy with another project. I have started a draft for episodes 3, 4 and 5; so I will make those. Just one thing, please make sure all plot points are completed. E.g. in "Hiatus" the plot was a bit incomplete.

This section: "Since going on the run from The Black Crusaders, Tracy has travelled to Needmore, Pennsylvania to stay with Kenneth Parcell's (Jack McBrayer) cousin, Jesse Parcell (Sean Hayes). Liz and Jack, who are desperatly looking for Tracy because it is nearing the season finale of TGS with Tracy Jordan, force the information of Tracy's where abouts from Kenneth and the pair send him to look for Tracy", did not fully summarise the plot. Therefore I changed it to:

"After going on the run from The Black Crusaders, Tracy has traveled to Needmore, Pennsylvania to stay with Kenneth Parcell's (Jack McBrayer) cousin, Jesse Parcell (Sean Hayes). Liz is stressed as the season finale of TGS with Tracy Jordan is nearing, and Tracy cannot be found. Liz and Jack force Tracy's whereabouts from Kenneth, who they send to bring him back. Tracy realizes that he wants to go back to the city, but Jesse kidnaps him. Kenneth, accompanied by Dot-Com and Grizz, manages to rescue Tracy and get him back in time for the show's finale."

See what I mean, make sure you state what happened in conclusion to the plot point. Sorry if I'm sounding a bit harsh, I'm really not meaning to, I'm just saying all plot sections need to cover the main points. Thanks - Corn.u.co.pia ŢĐЌ Disc.us.sion 03:13, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

30 Rock (2)

I think it is time for 30 Rock to be nominated for GA status. Thoughts? Corn.u.co.pia ŢĐЌ Disc.us.sion 03:12, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the barnstar. :-) I found a great site with some casting info for Judah; which I added in. And I don't think it really needs a peer review, that GA reviewer will tell us what to fix. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 07:20, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
There still some unreffed info, "Even the name of Jane Krakowski's character, "Jenna Maroney," evokes the name of comic actress Janel Moloney, who starred in Sorkin's biggest hit, The West Wing." If you can't find a ref for it, just delete it altogether. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 08:01, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

I created "Jack the Writer". I haven't nominated it for GA status yet, mainly because it needs a picture in the infobox and it needs a couple more reviews. I will also write a fact from it for DYK. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 08:16, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Ah, nice screenshots. All the page needs is one or two more reviews. I'll try to find some soon. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 12:54, 9 August 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the review, "Jack the Writer" has been nominated for GA status. Just another thing, you may have noticed that I have been going around increasing image size, e.g. here and here. This way, the image can be seen better, and it isn't getting in the way of the production section. What do you think? Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 03:50, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Well done with the pilot, it really looks good. Is it ready for FAC? I think so. But before you nominate it, you could try asking someone here: Wikipedia:Peer review/volunteers to copyedit the article. Worth a try, and will definitely increase the chance of a promotion to FA status. Also, I have begun working here on "Jack-Tor". I was suprised to see there was so much info, and I think this episode could also be a FA in the future. I am currently finishing off the reception section. Please take a look. Scratch that, Jack-Tor has been created. It has also been nominated for GA status. Please add a screenshot if you can. Thanks. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 05:14, 16 August 2008 (UTC)
Oh, thanks for clearing the up the Dratch situation. The only that confuses me is the fact that Variety had her listed as a guest star. A stuff-up maybe? Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 13:11, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

"Up All Night (30 Rock)" has been reviewed. I fixed the first few points, do you want to fix the rest, or should I? Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 13:17, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

lol, sorry. I think if you get an edit conflict, you can press back and still have your edits there, if you get what I mean. Corn.u.co.pia / Disc.us.sion 13:22, 16 August 2008 (UTC)

re: Pilot (30 Rock) Peer review

You're welcome, Jamie jca, I hope I hope my review helped. Like I said, I really have no experience with writing TV-related articles, so I'm not sure I can give you an honest opinion about whether or not it's ready. It looks better to me, but I'm just an outsider. :) Perhaps you could contact frequent WP:TV editors who have recently (and successfully) put episode articles through FAC? I know eps from Lost and The Simpsons are frequent candidates... María (habla conmigo) 19:44, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
