Wina SW1

Wina SW1 or Syafwina, born in Banda Aceh on February 20, 1969 and grow up in Beurawe Village, Banda Aceh, in a religious and educated family.Her father, Sanusi Wahab and her mother Herawati, were the lecturer staffs of Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh.

She educated in Taman Kanak-kanak (Kindegarten) of Beurawe, SD Pocut Meuligou, SMP Negeri 2 Banda Aceh, SMA Negeri 3 Banda Aceh, Chemical Engineering Departmen of Syiah Kuala University (bachelor in chemical engineering), Master of Agriculture of Kyoto University, and now doing PhD at Graduate School of Asian and African Areas Studies, Kyoto University.

Wina, a multi-talented girl with so many activities.She was active in many organizations, like to play Drama, writing fictions and poems, traveling and take photos. During her stay in Kyoto, she is very active in introducing Indonesia Cultures and Aceh Cultures to Japanese. She also performs Aceh traditional dance that choreographed by herself in Kansai Area cultural events. She loves Aceh and very proud to be an Acehnese.

Her poems published in many anthology in Aceh, Indonesia and Malaysia. Her own anthology "GARIS" was published in Aceh, Jakarta and Kyoto on 2007. About 100 of her poems inside. Mostly is about Aceh.

She is working as a lecturer staff of Faculty of Engineering, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh. During her study in Japan, she is also working as Indonesia Language part-timer instructor at YMCA Osaka and Kyoto Foreign Language Academy.

Her research is about Bioethanol production from Oil palm empty fruit bunch treated by White-rot fungi. And now, she is conducting research about post disaster risk management based on case of tsunami disaster destroyed areas in Aceh and earthquakes destroyed areas in Yogyakarta.
