Acceleration

The acceleration for cars #530 and up is similar to that of the cars used by the Washington Metro because they both use General Electric traction motors.[1][2]

I've removed this information. How it's verified by wordless footage of two trains leaving metro stations is a mystery, and in any case self-published YouTube videos are not considered reliable sources. See WP:SPS. —Sangdeboeuf (talk) 09:44, 6 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

HR5000

I don't know if the HR4000 has been announced for only 64 cars yet. But this is a precautionary topic for the future. CRRC has failed the perseverance order of 64 cars. Currently unofficial, Metro is developing a HR5000 contract as the situation is a repeat of the P2550 v. P3010 contracts. Lars Smiley (talk) 06:06, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Division 21 and 22 lines

I’m genuinely curious, is the Division 21 yard actually servicing both A and E Line trains? And is the Division 22 yard currently servicing K Line trains? Will it continue to service both the C and K lines after the service change from the opening of the connection with the people mover? —OrdinaryScarlett (talk) 22:21, 16 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fleet numbers versus quantity

For a layperson, surely the quantity of trains that LA Metro has is more useful than fleet numbers? That detail is probably best left for the individual train pages. Turini2 (talk) 11:42, 23 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

P3030

A new light rail vehicle contract is in the works. Currently under the concept name P3030, will be used for the ESFV LRT and potentially the SWGL as well. It is likely to be identical to the P3010 if Kinki Sharyo is selected. If not, a new carbody and/or cab design that still meets the required standardized specifications. This is a heads up notice. Sepulveda Transit Corridor Subway Car

Recently, Sepulveda Transit Corridor Partners announced their partnership with Stadler to create the automated metro trains to be used on the Sepulveda line. This is still an early rendering but this is news for rolling stock. As of August 2nd, 2024 there is no technical information about this train.
