Collection: Gypsum from Hallstatt - World Heritage
The Hallstatt Salt mine in Austria is a world heritage site and is believed to be evidence of around 9000 years of resource-saving mining, which has not yet fully exploited its deposits to this day.
We could all learn a lot from them; they always knew that their resources were finite due to the narrowness of the valley, which is why there are not many mineral specimens from there.
We are offering you gypsum crystals on matrix rock from an old miner's collection. They are breathtakingly beautiful in their brilliance, transparency and/or simply in their shape and abundance of appearance. Incredibly rich and remind you very much of the gypsum from Naica in Mexico. These pieces are the only ones available.
