The Reach are the main antagonist group of the Blue Beetle comics from DC. They are a group of Evil Aliens who created the scarabs for their conquest of the universe. They are major foes for the third Blue Beetle Jamie Reyes and other dc heroes.

History[]

The Reach had been a race of alien coqunest that took over planets for 4000 years which eventually come into conflict with the Green Lantern Corps. The war would eventually end in a draw and which they are forced to make a peace treaty to not invade planets in any terrioty. However the Reach would eventually find a loop hole by creating biological weapons called the scrabs which they used to sent into other planets and be experimented on collecting data to take over the planets in the past of earth a scrab landed on epgyt where a pharoh named Kha-Ff-RE used it to become a tyrant to take over the world. It would take centures for the new host to be chosen.

The Reach would use the scsarabes to suceessfully conquer each world and blue beetle and Green latern would join forces to stop this process by having Jamie take control of his scrab. This eventually causes the reach to come to earth in the present day and later attacks Jamie and Guy Garnder who would foil their plans.

Later on the Negotiator would come into direct conflict with Jamie and determined to break him. However Jamie would out smart the Reach causing the Negoitator to laugh before the ship exploded.

In the Prime Earth conitunity the reach contuines to their conquest to take over planets. The reach were waring with the laterns and would eventually plan on coming to earth to conuqer it and Blue Beetle.

The Reach appears in season 2 of Young Justice serving as one of the main villains alongside Vandal savage and the Light. Black Beetle is also a member here.
