Don’t let these updates slip through the net. While most of the #UK government are still trying to avoid questions about Taylor Swift freebies, we were pleased to see Lisa Nandy, secretary of state for culture, media and sport, 'shake it off' and talk up the UK #gambling #industry.  We’ve not heard a huge amount from gambling minister Baroness Twycross yet, so there’s quite a 'blank space' to fill to understand this new government’s plans.    During DCMS questions last Thursday, Nandy said “We’re aware of the value of this industry and the importance of it, not just to the UK #economy, but to the joy that it brings to many, many people, and the #employment prospects that it offers to people in every nation and region of the United Kingdom”.    Let’s hope this is the beginning of a 'Love Story' for the industry and puts to bed the rumours around a potential #tax raid in this month’s budget.    By the way, we’re happy to take any freebies if anyone has a spare iPhone 16 Pro lying around… #GamblingNews #GamblingIndustry #Culture #Media #Sport

The wacky world of #gambling #licensing. Here at #BetsmartTowers, we have noticed a very interesting change in the last twelve months. And that is, enquiries from new-to-the-industry #clients for comparison analysis of gambling licence #application process and #operational #requirements, in various up and coming jurisdictions.  It’s somewhat understandable considering the ongoing situation in #Curaçao, so “What’s new about that?”, you say.     Well, the number that have explicitly said “exclude the #British #licence” has increased considerably. The frequency has increased from roughly one such instruction every 3 or 4 months, to 2 or so a month.       We’ll be going into more detail about this topic in a couple of weeks but for now, ignoring the usual top tier suspects, are there any #jurisdictions that you’d be interested in hearing about?  Let us know in the comments 👇. #iGamingNews #Compliance #GamblingIndustry
