Today is World Kindness Day, and a really good opportunity to celebrate the acts of kindness our Buzz colleagues show each other, and our customers. Connection is at the heart of what it means to work at Buzz, and it’s these small acts of kindness - in how we interact with colleagues, customers, and the wider community - that make those connections really meaningful. Whether it’s Cary at our Maidstone Club using BSL to make a deaf customer feel at ease, David from Castleford using his 40th birthday skydive to raise £464 for The Stroke Association, or Nicola organising a toy collection for the children’s ward at the local hospital in Grimsby, our colleagues never miss an opportunity to be kind and make a difference. 💜 This #WorldStrokeDay, Buzz Bingo is proud to support stroke survivors through community and connection. A recent Stroke Association survey found that 94% of stroke survivors found speaking with others in similar situations significantly helped their recovery - but only 27% get the chance to do so. To mark World Stroke Day and our partnership to tackle social isolation after stroke, we sent our CEO, Dominic Mansour, and Head of Brand Communications Mark Fletcher, to visit the Parklands Stroke Group in Derbyshire.    The group spoke about their visit to our Buzz Bingo Derby club earlier this year and emphasised how vital welcoming spaces are for their meetings, allowing members to connect and socialise in a comfortable, supportive environment. Dom and Mark shared their stroke stories, while Julia Simpson, Lizzie Bekhradnia, Velma Hamilton and Christopher Rennison from the Stroke Association discussed the essential role of the 400 community stroke groups across the UK. Despite serious conversations, the afternoon was filled with laughter and fun (and plenty of biscuits!). Dom took the mic for the weekly prize raffle, and Mark presented group leader Anne with a stash of our purple dabbers, created exclusively for the Stroke Association and Buzz Bingo partnership. Today, every Buzz Bingo club across the UK is hosting a charity Live Bingo game to raise awareness of stroke with all proceeds going to the Stoke Association. #worldstrokeday #strengththroughsupport #remarkablepeople

We’re delighted to announce that we’re working with our long-standing tech partner ECM Systems to deliver 10,000 (yes, TEN THOUSAND!) brand new Electronic Bingo Terminals to our venues across the UK.   The touchscreens run the latest bingo software on faster more responsive hardware, improving our customer experience for players.   Dave Evans, Chief Product Officer at Buzz Bingo celebrated by popping up to see ECM‘s Managing Director Paul Hodgson for a sneak peak of the touchpads being prepared at the workshop in Hull.   All the touchpads are prepared and shipped from the UK and the first load of brand new bingo touchpads will appear in the North East of England later this month (we’ll be there to unbox them!) #bingo #remarkablepeople #newhardware #playtogetheranywhere

🎉 Buzz Bingo Tooting in the Spotlight! 🎉   We were thrilled to welcome Abigail Buchanan from The Telegraph to our Buzz Bingo Tooting venue. Her recent article "Bingo is making a comeback – and it’s all thanks to young women" highlights the exciting resurgence of bingo, especially among Millennials and Gen Z. 🎤✨   Abigail’s piece captures the vibrant atmosphere at our Tooting club, where themed nights bring together a lively crowd for a night of fun, laughter, and a bit of friendly competition. From dance-offs to singalongs and karaoke, our events are designed to offer a unique and memorable experience for all ages.   It’s fantastic to see how bingo is evolving and attracting a younger audience being recognised, with around half of our 200,000 new visitors in the past year being under 35.   #bingo #remarkablepeople

We've got some truly #RemarkablePeople here at Buzz, and one of them is our Head of Retail Operations Mark St-Claire. At the weekend, Mark took on an incredible challenge, a 100-mile race to raise vital funds for Adoption UK The Robin Hood 100 takes runners through the beautiful Sherwood Forest and surrounding villages. After running and walking through the night, experiencing high winds and lots of rain, Mark crossed the finish line inside the 30 hour cut off period, having accidentally run an extra 6 miles after some wrong turns! Mark’s motivation is deeply personal. Here’s his inspiring story: "I adopted my beautiful little girl at 10 months old. She’s 9 now and she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. The brightest light in my life. I had it in my head that I would be running the London Marathon for this wonderful charity, but after years of trying to get a place in the ballot, I figured why run 26 miles when you can run 100! This was by far my toughest physical challenge I’ve attempted and I hope my fundraising can help more children, and parents to be, to become a family."   https://lnkd.in/eiaHPhwd
