Vibe Reports[edit]

Hi DoubleDenial! Thanks so much for your work on Vibe Reports lately, among other things.

Because of the ephemeral nature of Vibe Reports, the general lack of new information during them (they usually parrot email newsletters from the same week), the absence of unique musical or visual elements, and the fact that some of them tend to just consist of Flans reading people's names on FB/Twitter, we decided long ago not to try cataloging individual ones on TMBW.

Content aside, Flans deliberately deletes most of them within minutes (or days, in the case of YouTube) of uploading them, as they usually are meant to call attention to something happening in the moment, like new concerts going on sale. As such, endeavoring to transcribe or even keep a record of every Vibe Report's existence has always felt like a fruitless obligation when there are dozens (maybe hundreds?) that have already happened and will happen in the future, and reading transcriptions of them provides very little to fans, in my opinion. I really appreciate the time you put in to it, though - it came out looking how I would've hoped such a project would! I look forward to all your future TMBW contributions and hope this doesn't discourage you from continuing to be a big help here. -CapitalQtalk ♪ 12:27, 4 March 2020 (EST)

Thanks! For the reason you brought up, I'm only currently interested in saving the YouTube ones, as they're coming out about once a month now and are more seriously edited in comparison to what I've seen of the other ones. After the 2019 ones got deleted, I felt like it would be best to archive the rest of them for the future, which I luckily (partially) did unknowingly with the TMBGareOK one. I'll continue logging the YouTube Vibe Reports for now, but I hope no one feels obligated to continue it if I ever stop. --DoubleDenial (talk) 21:16, 6 March 2020 (EST)
