Quick Answers
What is the behavior of the Snow Flinx when it encounters a closed door?
The Snow Flinx from Terraria has a peculiar behavior when it encounters a closed door. It will repeatedly hit the door, but interestingly, it is unable to open it. This makes it a bit of a vintage rat fink in the game, always causing a ruckus but never quite getting through!

What is the susceptibility of the Snow Flinx to knockback?
The Snow Flinx from Terraria is highly susceptible to knockback. It has the third least knockback resistance in the game, meaning weapons like the Slap Hand and Golem Fist can knock it back for enormous distances. This is due to its extremely lightweight nature, as described in the game's Bestiary.

Notes[]
Although only able to spawn in the Ice biome, Snow Flinxes have a lower chance to spawn on Snow Blocks, Ice Blocks, and Thin Ice than on other blocks.[1]- The Snow Flinx will repeatedly hit a closed door in its path, but it is unable to open it.
Tips[]
Due to the reduced spawn chance on Snow, Ice, and Thin Ice, players may encounter more Snow Flinxes around Underground Cabins, as these are primarily made of Boreal Wood.- Snow Flinxes are also likely to spawn on the borders of the Ice biome in caverns due to the lack of Snow, Ice, and Thin Ice in adjacent biomes.
Trivia[]
- The Snow Flinx bears a striking resemblance to the Topi, an enemy from the 1984 video game Ice Climber, specifically the American and European censored sprite of the Topi.
- The Snow Flinx has the third least knockback resistance, the second being Slimer without its wings, and first being Pinky, tied with Golden Slime.
- Because of this, weapons like Slap Hand and Golem Fist can knock it back for enormous distances.
The Bestiary entry for the Snow Flinx: "A strange, round furry mammal with an unusually large, protruding nose. They are extremely lightweight."
