A temporary rebel cell base located on Panisia in the Outer Rim Territories[2] was used by Rebel Alliance[3] Lieutenant[5] Kondra and his[3] wife[5] Yuralla Vega to hide the youngling Cadeliah, heir to both the Unbroken Clan and Mourner's Wail Syndicate,[3] after the cyborg bounty hunter Beilert Valance left the child in their care.[5] The couple eventually made their way to the base with Cadeliah, where she remained hidden. Shortly before fighting the bounty hunter Boba Fett and the resurgent criminal syndicate Crimson Dawn as part of his attempt to recover the carbonite-frozen body of his friend Han Solo, Valance contacted the rebel base and informed Kondra of his upcoming mission, adding that he could feel his human heart deteriorating, and ended the message with a request for Kondra to look after Vega,[3] his old lover,[5] and Cadeliah.[3]

Sometime later, after being left stranded by Valance and Fett on the planet Jekara, the bounty hunter Dengar provided the Crimson Dawn assassin Deathstick with a drive that she could use to trace the location of the base in exchange for sparing his life.[3]
