Derek Connolly is an American screenwriter and film producer credited as co-writing the story for Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker.[1] having written the original script with Colin Trevorrow.[2][3]
Connolly and Trevorrow also worked on the 2012 film Safety Not Guaranteed, the 2015 film Jurassic World and its 2018 sequel Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Connolly has also written other films, such as the 2018 film Pacific Rim: Uprising (starring John Boyega) and the 2019 film Pokémon Detective Pikachu.
