- "A former rebel base. Discovered years ago and bombarded by Imperial troops. I detect no surviving organic life-forms."
- ―ZED-6-7, to Darth Vader
Years before 3 ABY,[2] the Galactic Empire discovered and bombarded a base of the Rebel Alliance on[1] the Outer Rim planetoid[3] Polis Massa during its war with the rebels. The bombardment resulted in the damage of at least one Chroon-Tan B-Machine midwife droid.[1]
In 3 ABY,[2] the bombardment was recalled by the Imperial forensics droid ZED-6-7 when[1] he[4] visited Polis Massa with the Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader—who was on a quest to take revenge against those who had hidden his son from him—and they came across the remains of the base. The droid also stated that he detected no surviving organic life-forms.[1]
Behind the scenes[]
The bombardment on Polis Massa was mentioned in the fifth issue of the 2020 comic series Star Wars: Darth Vader. The issue was written by Greg Pak and published by Marvel Comics[1] on September 16, 2020.[5]
