Star Fox Adventures
Originally developed as an entirely separate game called "Dinosaur Planet", it was heavily reworked and eventually released as "Star Fox Adventures", sold as an early title on the Nintendo Gamecube in 2002. A prequel manga titled "Star Fox: Farewell, Beloved Falco" was published on the official Japanese website to serve as an explanation for the game's absence of Falco.

Other Games

"Star Fox: Guard", was released in 2016, on the Wii-U, as an accompanying spin-off of the events depicted in "Zero". The gameplay is in the style of a tower defense and includes level editor. While it is available for a Nintendo eShop digital download, physical copies were bundled with First Print Editions of "Star Fox Zero".

Exclusive to the Nintendo Switch edition of Starlink: Battle for Atlas, Star Fox characters make a crossover with Starlink. As part of the Toys-To-Life compatibility, figurines of Fox and an Arwing were added onto physical releases of the game. The story was also further continued with DLC.

In "WarioWare: Smooth Moves", a short recreation of the 1993 game was added in the form of a boss microgame.
Another Star Fox microgame appears in "WarioWare D.I.Y", taking place on Corneria, with an Arwing flying down a valley where a butterfly-shaped enemy flies towards it. The only control is tapping the screen, which causes the Arwing to fire. The microgame is won if the enemy is shot down before it hits Fox.
In "WarioWare Gold" for the 3DS, another 1993-styled Star Fox microgame identical to the Wii microgame but more regular shorter microgame appears, this time challenging players to not crash into anything when their ship is on the verge of being destroyed

Comics

Fox McCloud Comic
Before the original 1993 game was even released yet, the Star Fox series first made a start as a comic book series was published by Nintendo Power magazine, chronicling a continuing narrative series of adventures.

Attack Carrier Cornerian Airspace Mission File
Star Fox Mission File Printout is a Japanese strategy guide for the 1993 Super Famicom title Star Fox. It has notable elements that set it apart from other contemporary strategy guides, including artwork by Benimaru Itoh and a similar (but different) extension to the storyline as the Western comic adaptation. These "expanded universes" were discarded from the game series' canon starting with Star Fox 64.

Lylat Wars Comic Cover
Illustrated and released by Nintendo of Europe in 1997, the Lylat Wars Comic is an abridged adaptation of the events of "Star Fox 64", which was released in the European and Australian regions as Lylat Wars.

FBF comic title
Depicting a story set in-between the events of "Star Fox 64" and "Adventures", Farewell, Beloved Falco tells the incident that took place four years after the Lylat Wars and concludes four years later and leads into the Plight of Sauria. The entire manga can be read on the Japanese "Adventures" website.

Did you know?

  • Fox McCloud wears a red scarf in every single appearance he makes, with the exception of "Assault"?
  • In "Star Fox 64", there are twenty five possible paths leading to Venom, fourteen of these paths lead to the Robot Andross via Bolse. The other eleven lead to the True Form Andross via Area 6 and therefore the better ending?
  • In "Star Fox Commnad", there are 18 possible routes through the game, leading to 33 different missions, which can lead to 9 different endings?
