Sonic the Hedgehog 2[]

One night in Seattle, Sonic the Hedgehog tried to prove his worth as a hero when a group of bank robbers acquired a truck full of stolen money and a hostage. As the robbers drove through Seattle through the streets with their truck while throwing bombs at the Seattle Police Department pursuing them, Sonic rushed in and took out the robbers in the truck. However, Sonic was unable to stop the car and accidently ignited the robbers' remaining bombs in the truck. Through Sonic got rid of most of the bombs by throwing them into a garbage truck, thus blowing it up and scattering its trash, Sonic nearly oversaw one until he managed to throw it into the road's sewer system. Since Sonic still could not stop the truck however, he picked it apart at super speed instead, leaving its remains to slide to a halt. Meanwhile, the bomb in the sewers went off, resulting in several sprouts of sewer water emerging into the streets. As the Seattle Police Department apprehend the robbers, Sonic declares loudly that no thanks were needed. While the robber's hostage called him a "terrible hero", Sonic ignored him as he ran back to Green Hills. Sonic's escapade in Seattle subsequently made the news.

The first bank of Walla Walla in Washington, from Sonic the Hedgehog 2: The Official Movie Pre-Quill.

In Walla Walla, Washington, a group of bank robbers led by Jason attacked the first bank of Walla Walla in order to retrieve a Robotnik Control Glove and Dr. Robotnik's manifesto from the bank's deposit vault on behalf of Agent Stone. With the aid of their leader Lindsey, who had infiltrated the bank, Jason found the Robotnik Control Glove and went to work activating it. Though Sonic came to Washington in an effort to stop the robbery, Lindsey managed to trick and subdue him and lock him in the vault. Meanwhile, Tom Wachowski and Wade Whipple, having received the local authorities' all-points bulletin while ice fishing, came to the bank to assist the local police with apprehending the bank robbers. Using the Robotnik Control Glove though, Jason got some local Badniks to come and begin hauling the bank's vault away. However, Sonic made the Badniks drop the vault, thus allowing him to escape the vault and take out the bank robbers. Meanwhile, Tom took out two Badniks with his fishing pole. Though Lindsey tried to attack Sonic with a Badnik using the Robotnik Control Glove, that Badnik got taken over by Stone, who used it to escape with the glove. With the day overall saved and the bank robbers having ultimately surrendered to him, Sonic took his leave from Washington, allowing Tom and the local police to apprehend the bank robbers.[1]
