The Death Egg is a course that appears in Sonic Drift 2. It is a racing track located on the surface of the Death Egg It is the sixth and final course in the Blue Chaos GP and the only course in the Final Chaos GP.
Description[]
The overall setting of the Death Egg is that of technological fortress in other space. The region where the course takes place appears to be on the surface of the Death Egg space station with a pitch-black and starry sky overcasting it. The field of the Death Egg is a lined-up mirrored surface that reflects the sky, with a giant metal figure of Dr. Robotnik's face in the middle and metallic blocks encircling it. In the background, there can also be spotted massive steel facilities and complexes that cover the horizon with megawatt spotlights lightning up the sky.
The racing track in Death Egg is located on the reflective surface on the area and encircles the giant figure of Robotnik's face in the center. The road of the racing track through Death Egg is mainly colored in alternating grey horizontal stripes in different shades with similarly colored blue and yellow edges. Outside the racing track there are also Electromagnetic Poles that discharges electricity.
Gameplay[]
In Death Egg, the player's objective is to get the top position in the race. Racing outside the border of the marked track will cause the player to lose speed immediately. Additionally, the Electromagnetic Poles outside the racetracks will cause the playable characters to come to an immediately stop and lose a Ring if they collide with them.
If the player wins the race in the Death Egg after finishing in 1st in all of the races in the Blue Chaos GP, instead of being sent to the podium screen they will be sent to a final race against Robotnik (if they selected Sonic, Tails, Amy or Knuckles) or Sonic (if they selected Robotnik, Metal Sonic or Fang), which takes place in the Death Egg.
Overview[]
In Death Egg, the player races on a circular racing track encompassing the entire map. Additionally, the racing track is littered with different power-ups and objects that the player can utilize. On the Death Egg racecourse, the player's objective is to complete three laps of the racetrack. The fastest racer to complete three laps is rewarded with a Chaos Emerald.
