Stephen J. "Steve" Ditko[1] (November 2, 1927 – June 29, 2018) was a Ukrainian American comic book artist and writer.[2] He was best known as the artist and co-creator, with Stan Lee, of the Marvel Comics heroes Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. He was born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania.

Ditko died at his New York City apartment from a heart attack on June 29, 2018 at the age of 90.[3]
