Rudolfo Anaya (October 30, 1937 – June 28, 2020) was an American writer, poet, educator and playwright. He was best known for his 1972 novel Bless Me, Ultima. Anaya was thought to be one of the founders of Chicano literature.[1] He was born in Pastura, New Mexico.

Anaya died on June 28, 2020 at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico at the age of 82.[2][3]
