Ivan Nagy (dancer)

Ivan Nagy (28 April 1943 – 22 February 2014) was a Hungarian ballet dancer. During the Cold War, Nagy began to dance in Washington, D.C. and soon became a well known ballet dancer.

Nagy was born in Debrecen, eastern Hungary on 28 April 1943.

He worked with Carla Fracci and with Marianna Tcherkassky. His career began in 1965. Nagy retired in 1978. Since the 1980s he worked as an artistic director.

Nagy died on 22 February 2014 in Budapest from an illness, aged 70.[1]
