Ignacio de Medina (Granada, Spain) is a Spanish businessman, speaker and executive producer of Film and TV Shows. [1] Promoter of various business initiatives, investor in startups and as an expert in investment in the entertainment and media [2] and speaker at international events such as MIPCOM in Cannes. He is also member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and juror for well-known international TV and media awards such as PRODU Awards and the International Emmy® Awards.


He also has extensive experience in international relations and in helping companies develop their businesses internationally and open new international markets. It has a particularly strong relationship with the Middle East and has successful international relations with countries such as Saudi Arabia, UAE and Qatar. In the entertainment and media industry, he was recently named by the Red Sea Film Festival [3] as a relevant figure in entertainment in the Middle East.

Biography

Ignacio has a degree in BBA from CUNEF University in Madrid. He also holds a postgraduate degree in Management and Leadership of International Companies from the IE Business School and an Executive Master in Media Business Management (Media MBA) from the University of Navarra - IESE Business School. [4]

Throughout his professional career, he worked as a Business and International Relations Consultant for the international IT and TELCO companies as Telefónica, IBM and INDRA . He carried out strategy and business consulting for La Liga, Atresmedia, Movistar, BBVA, and Telxius. He has facilitated the opening of businesses and international expansion for companies such as Telefónica, Inditex and NBCUniversal, among others.

Institutionally, Ignacio has worked and collaborated with official bodies and governments from different countries such as Canada, Japan, Spain, the United States, Mexico and Italy to promote international relations of their main national companies with the different markets within the Middle East, specially in Qatar and Saudi Arabia, facilitating entry into these markets and providing access to the local market.

In relation to the media sector and the entertainment industry, Ignacio has promoted various international initiatives and projects and is a specialized speaker on Investment, Business and Production for international events such as MIPCOM, Cannes Film Festival or MipCancun . [5] As Executive Producer, he has promoted strategic agreements with companies such as FOX and Warner Channel for the production of new content. [6] He has been a producer of Border Security: America's front line ( Entertainment One, Netflix, Corus ), Portrait of a Nine (Black Panther Films), Entering Red ( Ana de Armas ), Andaluces por el Mundo ( Medina Media ), or the successful American reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills ( BravoTV ), among others. [7] He also participated in the production of Detective Knight: Rogue, one of the last films of actor Bruce Willis . [7]

In 2020, he became the youngest member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences [8] who awards the prestigious Emmy® Awards, and was also one of the 10 Spanish television professionals who were members of that organization on that date. [9]
