The second season of Sex Education consists of eight episodes. All episodes were released on Netflix on 17 January 2020.
On February 10, 2020, Netflix renewed Sex Education for a third season. It was released on September 17, 2021.
Set in Moordale in the spring of 2021, the story follows further fates of Moordale Secondary pupils. The second season introduces some new characters including; Jackson's tutor, who later becomes his friend Vivienne Odusanya, a new French student at Moordale Secondary Rahim Harrak, Maeve's new neighbors at the caravan park Isaac Goodwin and his brother Joe, Maeve's estranged mother Erin Wiley and younger half-sister Elsie, the best actress at the school Florence Simmons, Anwar's new boyfriend Nick, Olivia's boyfriend Malek Amir, Moordale Secondary chairman Maxine Tarrington, and the owner of Browns Village Stores and Rahim's uncle Yousef.
Synopsis
Late bloomer Otis Milburn must master his newly-discovered sexual urges in order to progress with his new girlfriend, Ola, whilst also dealing with his now strained relationship with his old crush, Maeve. Meanwhile, Moordale Secondary is in the throes of a Chlamydia outbreak, highlighting the need for better sex education at the school and new kids come to town who will challenge the status quo.
