Quiet Failures
A downloadable game
Quiet Failures is a TTRPG for 4-6 players (one acting as facilitator, but no GM), each playing scientists on neighbouring micro-colonies. As the systems supporting these micro-colonies begin to fail, their only means of connecting with each other are increasingly fragile and unreliable broadcasts and transmissions.
Isolating yourself, going silent, and keeping others at a distance improves the group's chance of survival. Opening up to others and trying to connect diminishes the group's chance of survival. Choose what you're willing to risk, and what for.
Content warning - this game deals with death, self-sacrifice, and emotional isolation. It may not be suitable for players who do not enjoy exploring such subjects in role-play. Safety mechanics such as the X card are recommended, though a mechanic for pausing and stepping back from the game is included in the pack.
