Violet City is located in the central part of Johto. Trainers visit Violet City to claim the Zephyr Badge from Falkner, the Violet City Gym Leader who specializes in -type Pokémon.
Demographics[]
The population of Violet City is 35, making it the second-largest city in the Johto region.
Areas of interest[]
Sprout Tower[]
The largest structure in the city is the Sprout Tower, a wobbling pagoda that is being taken care of by Sages, who train Pokémon of their own. After the player defeats the last Sage, they will receive HM05 (Flash). Besides the Sages, Bellsprout and Rattata can be encountered inside the tower during the day, and Gastly can be found at night.
The majority of the sages use Bellsprout on their team, but one of the trainers in the very top floor uses a Hoothoot. In addition, the Elder, Li, does too.
Earl's Pokémon Academy[]
Earl's Pokémon Academy is located on the eastern side of the city. This institution is where aspiring Trainers learn how to raise and care for their Pokémon.
In-game trade[]
In the house nearest to the Pokémon Center, a trainer with a schoolboy sprite named Rudy will avidly trade an Onix for a Bellsprout. The Onix he trades is nicknamed Rocky and holds the Persim Berry, which will snap the user out of confusion when eaten.
