Chunky Kong is one of the characters from the Donkey Kong series. He is the elder brother of Kiddy Kong and the cousin of Dixie Kong and Tiny Kong.
His Good Ranking[]
What Makes Him Close to Being Pure Good?[]
- Upon being freed by Lanky in Frantic Factory, he helps the Kongs in their quest by completing various challenges and puzzles to retrieve 5 Golden Bananas that only he can reach in each area of the game, and can defeat green-haired Kasplats to retrieve the green-colored blueprints and return them to Snide, both to exchange them for Golden Bananas and allow him to delay the Blast-O-Matic when they raid K. Rool’s hideout at the end of the game.
- Upon being given special cameras and film by the Banana Fairy Queen, he can help catch Banana Fairies and bring them back to Banana Fairy Island.
- Despite being quite cowardly to the extent that he always tries to encourage the player to pick Tiny instead of him in the Tag Barrel, if he’s picked, he will come out and do his part without any further complaints, as well as consistently face his fears throughout the game in general.
- While in Fungi Forest, he helps a worm who lives in an apple by using his giant Hunky Chunky form to defeat some carnivorous tomatoes that could eat him, and upon his request to be moved, he uses his enhanced size and strength to take him to a sunnier part of the forest where he’ll be both safer and happier.
- He helps free K. Lumsy from K. Rool’s imprisonment by defeating Dogadon in Fungi Forest and retrieving the fifth key to his cage. This is also despite being terrified of Dogadon and initially grovelling at their feet.
- He saves the rabbit from Fungi Forest when he finds him tied up to a TNT Barrel in Crystal Caves by defeating the flame creatures that keep approaching it so it doesn't blow up.
- He can be used in the fight against King Kut-Out, a cardboard version of King K. Rool operated by some of his Kremlings, in Creepy Castle, meaning he can potentially be the one to defeat them and retrieve the seventh and penultimate key to K. Lumsy’s cage.
- Upon arriving at Hideout Helm, he helps the rest of the Kongs reach the Blast-O-Matic and shut it down by completing the two challenge barrels in the room where the green laser comes from, then subsequently taking the Banana Medal that fuels it, deactivating it.
- He helps defeat King K. Rool at the end of the game upon confronting him in his crashed vessel, and due to being the final one to fight him, he lands the final blow to definitively give the Kongs the victory.
- Though to be more specific, he disables King K. Rool's invisibility (or steals it), becomes huge and delivers four incredible punches after he charges at him.
What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]
- Chunky fails the admirable standards to DK, Diddy Kong, and Dixie since almost all of his heroism, including his most admirable act of helping shut down the Blast-O-Matic, is shared with all the other Kongs, meaning he only plays a contributing part to them, so he's lacking compared to the aformentioned three due to the number of other admirable actions DK and Diddy have in addition to the feats they share with him and the others in Donkey Kong 64, and Dixie's more unique, independent heroism from DK3. However, considering he still contributed to saving Donkey Kong Island and all of the creatures that lived on it from being destroyed in his only major appearance, which is one of the most admirable feats in the series so far, it's a pretty minor prevention.
