• Has an incredibly tragic background of being a poor child and forced to steal food for his family, then getting imprisoned at one point. Eventually he befriended another thief named Zhivago who he started to view as a father figure. When Zhivago abandoned the young boy for his biological son, he held no animosity towards him and said he would've been mad if he abandoned his real son instead.
• Honored Zhivago's wishes by breaking into the Fairy forest so he could steal the Fountain of Life. While doing so, he met the Fairy Guardian Elaine and fell in love with her, rescuing her from her 500 year long loneliness in just a week.
• Tried to kill the Red Demon destroying the Fairy Forest.
• Befriended the captain and joined the Seven Deadly Sins when he rescued him from his depression.
• Allowed himself to be tortured and imprisoned for 5 years out of guilt for letting Elaine die.
• Saved the life of Gilthunder with his one healing orb, despite being enemies beforehand.
• Helped the other Sins take down the Holy Knights infused with Demonic Blood as well as Lord Hendrickson.
• Cried for Hawk when he thought he was dead.
• While Elaine was revived and had her obsessive nature amplified by Melascula, instead of hating her, he kissed her, thus freed her from her spell.
• Helped protect Jericho and Elaine from Galand and Melascula, two high-ranking Demons.
• Threw himself in front of the Ten Commandments to save his best friend from being slaughter by them, despite being much weaker than all of them, though he does deservedly snap Melascula's neck and tries to kill Estarossa.
• Entered Purgatory by himself to rescue his best friend's emotions and apologize for trying to kill him before, despite the dangers it posed.
• Despite going insane due to centuries in Purgatory, he managed to revive his emotions by himself and reunite with the captain in a tearful reunion.
• Fought the tyrannical Demon King alongside Meliodas and Wild.
• Sacrificed his immortality to revive Elaine without a second thought.
• Fought the Demon King one-on-one after escaping Purgatory and showed concern for Zeldris when he was nearly killed by his father, despite them being enemies.
• Saved Zeldris's life from the Demon King.
• Helped in the fight against Cath Palug, a Cataclysmic monster who could destroy the world.
• Raised his son Lancelot to be a great warrior in his eyes.

What Prevents Him From Being Pure Good?[]

• He is a thief at heart who can be arrogant and brash at times. A great example is when he beat up a regular citizen and stole his outfit simply because he insulted him.
