Grover thinks it's impossible to know, until Elmo reminds him he can just count them. Grover does this, but starts over at each cat. Elmo tells him to count them all together, but this proves a challenge when he realizes the kitties are all over the place, so Grover gets them all in a line and counts four cats in total.

SCENE 1 cont'd | Grover is annoyed he has to start counting all over again, which signals the Count to come help. Grover explains that he's too tired to count again every time a new kitty comes along. They count six, seven kitties all together, without needing to start from zero. Now they know there are seven kitties. Seven hungry kitties!
SCENE 1 cont'd | Grover heads to Hooper's Store to get the cats, who are at this point really hungry, some food. Chris asks Grover how many bowls they need, and Grover thinks it's impossible until he realizes the number would match the number of cats. Elmo asks how many bowls Chris has, a query Grover is certain is impossible to answer, until Julia reminds him he can count the bowls...
SCENE 1 cont'd | Grover counts four bowls, not enough for seven kitties. Chris tells Grover that those are just the blue bowls, and he has yellow ones as well. Grover thinks he has to start counting all over again, until the Count arrives to remind him he can just count on from four, as well as to sing another rendition of his counting on song. The group starts counting from four to arrive at seven bowls, the perfect number for the seven kitty cats...
SCENE 1 cont'd | Grover stacks up the bowls to feed the cats, but gets trampled over by all the felines. Grover gets cat hair all over him causing him to sneeze three, four times.
Insert | I Wonder, What If, Let's Try Nolan and Ayana count on from three to see how tall they can make a block tower before it topples over.
