Arthropod Mobs — Every arthropod in Minecraft.

The term arthropod refers to an in-game classification regrouping all bug or bug-like mobs.

Classification[]

Arthropods take extra damage and receive Slowness IV when hit with a weapon enchanted with Bane of Arthropods enchantment.

All naturally hostile arthropods (that is, all except bees) have a unique death animation in that they flip 180 degrees instead of the usual 90 degrees. This can prove useful when trying to find what mobs the Bane of Arthropods enchantment affects.

Name	Behavior	Notes
Bee	Neutral	Bees are flying insects that live in bee nests and beehives. They inflict poison to the player.
Cave Spider	Neutral	Cave spiders are a small venomous variant of the spider found in mineshafts.
Endermite	Hostile	Endermites are small mobs that may spawn when a player throws an ender pearl.
Silverfish	Hostile	Silverfish are insects found hiding in stone-like blocks.
Spider	Neutral	Spiders are a common arachnid that have the unique ability to climb walls.
Redstone Bug	Hostile	Redstone Bugs are joke mobs added in the April Fools' 2.0 update. They are nearly identical to Silverfish in both behavior and design.
