Swamp Chika Dark plays throughout the lower hydrodynamo portion of the Dark Torvus Bog. In the upper swampy areas of the Dark Torvus Bog, Dark World Swamp plays instead.
Swamp Chika Dark is a variant of a general ambient theme heard through much of Dark Aether in Echoes. Much of this theme consists of dark ambience, heavy drumbeats, and various atmospheric effects, creating a solemn vibe of desolation and hopelessness. Swamp Chika Dark directly incorporates the harmonic arpeggios from Torvus Catacombs, the theme of the area's light counterpart, musically tying together the light and dark versions of Torvus Bog. These arpeggios are broken up by long periods of silence, and the melody is completely absent, making this remix sound fittingly like a mere empty echo of the original Lower Brinstar theme.
