Dark World Swamp[1] is an ambient theme in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.

Dark World Swamp plays throughout the upper swampy areas of the Dark Torvus Bog. In the lower hydrodynamo portion of the Dark Torvus Bog, the theme changes to Swamp Chika Dark.
Dark World Swamp is a variant of a general ambient theme heard through much of Dark Aether in Echoes. Much of this theme consists of dark ambience, heavy drumbeats, and various atmospheric effects, creating a solemn vibe of desolation and hopelessness. Dark World Swamp directly incorporates notes and instruments from the theme of the area's light counterpart, such as the low pan flute-like instrument and the high-pitched synth arpeggios, musically tying together the light and dark versions of Torvus Bog. While the arpeggios are heard throughout the light Torvus Bog theme, they are broken up by periods of silence in Dark World Swamp, emphasizing the distorted nature of Dark Aether.
