The Mine Security Station is a room located near the entrance of the Phazon Mines. It appears in Metroid Prime.
Description[]
The Mine Security Station is a long, winding path with two floors, and the second major room of the Mines' Level One. The path is uneven, with multiple upward and downward ramps, loose cables, and portions of the floor containing grates through which Phazon can be seen underneath. Along the way, multiple metal rods between pillars and pipes act as barriers, forcing Samus to destroy them with her weapons or walk around. The doors lock as soon as she enters. A Red Door is present near the entrance to the room, blocked by a Force Field that appears in three sections.
This room is where Samus first encounters Wave Troopers, the first of four variants of the Trooper Pirates. They emerge from security bioscan locks in the walls; thin hatches that lead to unseen areas of the Phazon Mines and act as their spawn points. A group of three Wave Troopers confront Samus. Once they have been killed, the doors unlock, with Samus's HUD displaying the message: "The doors have been unlocked."
The exit is one of the few ceiling doors in Prime. Next to it is a terminal locked behind a grate made of Bendezium. When Samus returns through here with the Power Bomb, she can destroy the grate and scan the terminal to remove the earlier Force Field. However, she will still need the Plasma Beam to open the Red Door. Behind this is a small chamber containing the Flamethrower, an optional Charge Combo for the Plasma Beam. On return visits, Ice Troopers replace their Wave counterparts.

Trivia[]
- The Hall of Combat Mastery in Metroid Prime 2: Echoes is similar to the Mine Security Station in that both rooms consist of long winding hallways, have something that can be destroyed with a Power Bomb, and contain destructible barriers blocking pathways.
