Aeion Ability Artifacts are the item form of Aeion abilities in Metroid: Samus Returns. Similar to Chozo Statues, Aeion Ability Artifacts are scattered throughout the Chozo ruins on SR388.
In Metroid: Samus Returns[]
These artifacts are found in the following areas and grant Samus Aran the following abilities once she rolls through the Chozo Statue's mouth with the Morph Ball:
All four Aeion abilities in Samus Returns take on the form of a ball of white energy, but their respective statues' light matches the corresponding ability itself. After the ability is acquired, the ball is replaced with a Big Aeion Orb, similar to Item Spheres held by Chozo Statues.
In Metroid Dread[]
Unlike in Samus Returns, the Aeion abilities in Dread are found in the form of Item Cubes. Similar to Item Spheres, they are held in the hands of unique Chozo Statues, and acquired in a cutscene upon entering the artifact's room. However, the Phantom Cloak's artifact is stolen by Corpius, residing in its tail.
