Mix'n'match
[edit]Hi, I have closed your issue on bitbucket. The two versions are now at https://tools.wmflabs.org/mix-n-match/?mode=catalog_details&catalog=271 and https://tools.wmflabs.org/mix-n-match/?mode=catalog_details&catalog=272 respectively. --Magnus Manske (talk) 13:22, 25 October 2016 (UTC)
- Hi @Magnus Manske: What is the wikidata property used by these? Thanks. Gikü (talk)
- Thank you Magnus Manske! Still there is a problem, when I make a match there is no contibution to Wikidata. As far as I understand there is no special Property for it. But I don't know exactly how to fix this problem. I will be happy if you can help me with this. Best whishes, --Visem (talk) 20:36, 26 October 2016 (UTC)
- You would have to suggest the creation of a new property on Wikidata for this data. I can always add your matches in mix'n'match to Wikidata, once the property is created. --Magnus Manske (talk) 18:42, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
- Thank you for explaining! --Visem (talk) 18:45, 11 November 2016 (UTC)

Olympics and Paralympics
[edit]Hello Visem. Nice to meet you again. We did not started to work yet but we want to organize a contest about this Olympic and Paralympic Games. Last time we organized it on meta, for everylanguage. We can apply for a banner in different Wikipedias and create a landing page in that Wikipedias. But a contest open to everybody. What do you think? We can provide prizes for the winners, and give barnstars. One of the most difficult things is to decide how long should it be. Last time it started the first day of the Olympics and it finished the last day of the Paralympics. Do you thinh that this is too much time? --Millars (talk) 23:51, 16 January 2018 (UTC)
- Hello. There is a draft of the contest here Wiki Loves the Olympics 2018. You can modify and add new information if you want. The dates are as we said, from the begining of the Olympic Games to the end of the Paralympic. People can participate in any language, and can edit articles of all previous editions of the Games. Are you a member of WMUA? Is this chapter interested in being part of the organization and helping in the communication? About the prizes, I think that vouchers are very confortable for the organization. --Millars (talk) 22:47, 23 January 2018 (UTC)
- Hello. The page on meta should be enough to coordinate all languages, but if you want you can create a landing page with information in other Wikipedias in ordet to do more visible the contest. But we can not create a page in all Wikipedias, so it would be optional. Do you agree? The idea is that people add their article on meta, for all languages. Like in 2016. Wikimedia Spain can provide the prizes. The most easy are vouchures on-line, for platforms like Amazon. I think that 4 o 5 prizes could be fine. I modified the score system and removed the mention to point for articles about women because there will be a lot of initiates for that in March, but however, I put 2 extra point for each article about Paralympics, to motivate more to edit about that. And I added that all articles must have at least one reference. What do you think? --Millars (talk) 18:12, 24 January 2018 (UTC)
- As I said, there is no problem having pages in different languages and Wikipedias. In fact, it will help to promote the contest. The only one thing is that participants should add the articles also on meta to have all the points and articles in the same place. I can ask how to translate to different languages the meta page works. It is better to start the translation when all details are well defined. For us there is no problem in doing the contest a bit longer, and it a good idea to let time to complete the pages of this edition of the games. I'll modify it. --Millars (talk) 11:09, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you Visem for the translation. As I understood, yes, it is for winter Olympic Games. I think that we should encourage to improve the content about winter olympics and paralimpics, that are worse represented. And in the year when there is a summer olympics, then, for summer. Another question, do we add WMUA to the organizers? --Millars (talk) 22:39, 3 February 2018 (UTC)

Logo for Wikimedians of Bashkortostan User Group
[edit]Hi Viktor, it was nice seeing you here in Cape Town! I just wanted to tell you I made a new version of the logo for Wikimedians of Bashkortostan User Group that uses the "official" font for logos like this. I uploaded it to the same file that the current logo uses, so it's at commons:File:Wikimedians of Bashkortostan User Group.svg (but scroll down to File history to see it). If you decide to use that one, all you need to do is hit the "revert" button next to it to update the file. Take care, and have a good trip home! Jon Harald Søby (talk) 20:32, 23 July 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, Visem!
Thank you very much for participating in Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month! My apologies for not sending this message sooner – but be assured, your contributions are very valuable!
The organisers welcome you participation. We hope you had fun! Some users faced the notability issues of the suggested articles; we recognise that the list of suggested articles wasn't flawless.
The project is not ended until all worthy participants receive their souvenirs! There will be another message from the organising team soon about this.
Stay safe, we appreciate you being a Wikipedian that you are -- ViraMotorko (WMUA) (talk) 09:37, 5 April 2021 (UTC)

Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month 2022 invitation
[edit]Dear Wikipedian!
You received this message because you participated in Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month 2021. Without your contribution, the challenge would not have been so successful.
This year Wikimedia Ukraine, in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and Ukrainian Institute, has launched the second edition of writing challenge "Ukraine's Cultural Diplomacy Month", which lasts from 17 February to 17 March 2022. The campaign is dedicated to famous Ukrainian artists of cinema, music, literature, architecture, design and cultural phenomena of Ukraine that made a contribution to world culture.
I would like to invite you to participate again in this writing challenge! We have updated the list of suggested articles and announced new prizes for contestants to keep interest in different fields of Ukrainian culture. I hope to hear from you soon!-- ValentynNefedov (WMUA) (talk) 08:57, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
WikiGap Challenge 2022
[edit]Hi! As one of the participants of the WikiGap Challenge 2021, I wanted to inform you that we have launched the 2022 edition of the Challenge – and you are of course more than welcome to join! The landing page of the challenge is on this page. This year, due to the pandemic and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, we are extending the Challenge to 8 May. I hope this might give some extra time for everyone to take part.
As last year, the UN Human Rights Office has nominated some 25 women human rights defenders, this year specifically focusing on women active within the fields of environment and climate. Writing articles about these women yield bonus points.
Feel free to join, and reach out if you have any questions! Josefine Hellroth Larsson (WMSE) (talk) 14:35, 16 March 2022 (UTC)
