Broken Bow is a small town located in the southeastern corner of the state of Oklahoma, United States of America.
The town was located alongside the Ouachita Mountains foothills. (ST website: StarTrek.com)
In April 2151, Broken Bow became the scene of first contact between humans and Klingons, when a K'toch-class scout, piloted by Klaang, crashlanded on a farm in the area. Klaang was being pursued by two Suliban, whom Klaang managed to kill by destroying a grain silo. Shortly after, Klaang was shot by Richard Moore, the farmer who owned the silo. (ENT episode: "Broken Bow")
In 2328, Elias Vaughn cited the incident outside Broken Bow as the beginning of a "bad blood" between the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire that lasted up to the 24th century. (TLE novel: The Art of the Impossible)
