The 1957 Summer Deaflympics (Italian: 1957 Olimpiadi estive per sordi) officially known as 8th Summer Deaflympics (Italian: 8° Olimpiadi estive per i sordi) is an international multi-sport event that was held from 25 to 30 August 1957. This event was hosted by Milan, Italy.[1]
The 8th Summer Deaflympics Games were originally scheduled to be held from 23 December 1956 to 5 January 1957 in Melbourne, but was decided to host it in 1957 due to the schedule of 1956 Summer Olympics. Melbourne would later host the 2005 Summer Deaflympics.
