Synopsis for "Trust"
Nate Grey is on his way to Muir Island to seek answers about his powers as Rogue suggested to ask Moira MacTaggert for help. As he approaches Muir Island, he is unexpectedly attacked by Britannic and Colossus. Nate retaliates with his telekinetic powers but is further engaged when Shadowcat and Nightcrawler join the fight. Moira MacTaggert intervenes, chastising her team for attacking the boy and instructs them to carry Nate to the infirmary. Moira conducts tests on Nate, discovering that he is not suffering from the Legacy Virus. She decides to run more tests the next day.
Elsewhere, Threnody, forced to serve Mr. Sinister, listens to a holo-transmission about Nate Grey. Sinister suspects something but decides to prepare a search later. Threnody plans to use Nate to gain her freedom.
Back at Muir Island, Moira conducts extensive tests on Nate, who experiences painful memories from his past. Outside the lab, Wolfsbane observes the proceedings with curiosity and attraction toward Nate. As Nate and Rahne talk outside, they become acquainted, and Nate uses his powers to show her a shipwreck on the ground of the sea.
After reviewing her data, Moira contacts Charles Xavier, informing that Nate's powers are consuming him, and he is going to die. Xavier asks Moira to help Nate, as the boy does not trust him.
Meanwhile, Nate begins to explore restricted areas of Muir Island and stumbles upon empty cells, one containing the mutant Spoor. The former Acolyte claims that Excalibur conducts experiments on mutants, and Nate should help him escape. Nate confronts Moira, demanding answers. Frustrated and overwhelmed, he forcefully enters her mind, discovering her recent concerns about Nate literally burning out. Nate believes Moira has betrayed him and loses control of his powers, causing an explosion in Moira's lab.
