Synopsis for "Knight Feeders"
A couple nights ago: In a secluded location, the Tutor hires Taskmaster for consultation. Taskmaster is blunt to The Tutor in that he should not encounter or challenge Moon Knight, who has spent the last week since Zodiac's assault systematically attacking the Tutor's vampire ponzi scheme cult, Structure. Taskmaster elaborates that the last time he fought Moon Knight, he had his full jacket and knows he's comfortable killing anywhere, analogizing Moon Knight to a blade sharpened by many stones, yet he is dangerous for another reason. The Tutor asks if Moon Knight is still simply a man, as he and his people have left humanity to become "a better breed" like Taskmaster and his brain.
However, Taskmaster summarizes Moon Knight as being akin to a .45 ACP Hollow Point, where the person shot with it is turned inside out, mushroomed by the soft tissue damage. Thusly, Moon Knight will attack with supersonic speed and go right through him, all the while leaving a hole large in the Tutor's life large enough for the L Train to drive through. While not knowing what made Moon Knight so fatal, Taskmaster doesn't want to know. Intrigued by Taskmaster's descriptions, Tutor emphasizes that Moon knight is a problem, given the systematic attacks on his infrastructure freeing the food supply of humans and housing defectors, four vampires under his care[1] which became a problem now that one of them has challenged Tutor's control.
This morning: Moon Knight chains a group of Structure vampires to makeshift sundial posts in attempted interrogation for leads to the Tutor. However, his final prisoner refuses and comments on his hosting a traitor, to which Moon Knight is done and kicks him into the sunlight to burn to ash. Elsewhere, Moon Knight rescues captives of Structure and frees them from confinement to go home. When Moon Knight makes his appointment with Dr. Andrea Sterman, he brings up Reese being upset but not blaming him for Soldier's death. Andrea asks if her not blaming him is so bad, inquiring if he sought punishment or absolution from informing Soldier's mother of his death. Marc is unsure, but Andrea reminds him that Soldier made his choices freely and Marc has his own guilt he doesn't need to add to from others. When Marc brings up Zodiac's abducting her,[2][3] she counters that her line of work is super hero therapy so it was her choice and the results were expected.
A couple nights ago: At the Midnight Mission, a working Reese is kept company by Tigra, inquiring if Marc is still out. Reese tells her that Marc blames himself for Soldier's death and has been dead-set on the Structure for turning her and her friends into vampires. Although Marc says he is doing it for Reese, she can tell that's simply an excuse to vent his frustrations needing to hurt someone by proxy. Bringing up Steven Grant by Reese, Greer deflects to a DB story on Midnight Man's return before stating the "Steve Grant" angle is not her story to tell, but Reese jabs about Greer suddenly not being a "snitch."[2][3] Although Greer lets it slide, her counter about her guilt over Soldier is interrupted by Soldier himself returned as a vampire.
Back with Tutor, he finds Moon Knight is making more vampires outside of Tutor's influence and that cannot pass. With a single exception, Tutor claims to be the most powerful vampire in New York with a nearing opportunity he'd like to see realized, but Moon Knight stands to impede that. Asking Taskmaster if he'd accept a contract on Moon Knight, a brief reflection has the mercenary turn down the offer as he feels Tutor didn't hear his warnings of Moon Knight's devastating impact. Acknowledging his fear of the hero, and recounting Moon Knight's crashing a helicopter into the building he was in,[4] and voices that nobody in the city would want to fight Moon Knight. As Taskmaster takes his leave, Tutor realizes he should look outside the city then.
This morning: As a security contingent of Structure troopers attack Moon Knight, he overwhelms them with a silver Khopesh sword before being met by Taskmaster. The mercenary calls for peace as he only came to warn Moon Knight about his being asked for a mission that he turned down aiming to eliminate the hero, explaining he fears Moon Knight and wishes not to be attributed to the coming violence. When calling it a courtesy between mercenaries, Moon Knight refutes similarity to Taskmaster, with the departing villain agreeing and that Moon Knight is far worse.
A couple nights ago: Tutor welcomed some new mercenaries after calling for their service. Explaining his reasons, he wants a Moon Knight dead and needed someone able, but his target's reputation made that hard to accomplish. So he went outside the New York City scene and found it to be a new opportunity, something he values greatly. Greeting Nemean and Grand Mal, he asks of them to kill Moon Knight.
Sunset: As Mr. Knight, a fatigued Marc rests in his chair as Reese checks up on him. He tells her he's okay and has made progress with the Structure, she asks about Steven Grant and he promises to tell her another day before bidding her a good night. Alone, Marc confers with Steven Grant and Jake Lockley, acknowledging it is time to talk between the three personas.
