Shriek from Beyond is the ninth episode of the first season of the animated series, Martin Mystery. It was originally released on December 3, 2003.

Synopsis[]

A boat crashes into an icy cliff and frees a mythological siren trapped in the ice for 50 years. Now Martin and Java must overcome her compelling melody and stop her from killing all of the men in the town and spreading chaos and destruction.

Plot[]

This episode begins when two men in Norway, Sven and Olaf set sail in a ship but they have trouble getting where they needed to go because of the rocky waves. As they saw a ice part, they see a women like figure ahead. The gang uncover the origins of a tragic love story.

Trivia[]

The two men, Olaf and Sven were actually named before one of the two anthropomorphic characters of the same name, including a snowman and a reindeer from Disney's 2013 animated feature, Frozen and its' 2019 sequel, Frozen II.
This episode introduces the new cameo character Louise, she wouldn't appear in the series until season 3's episode Curse of the Looking Glass.
The Center has an inter-species dating program.
One of bystander old-timer sailor when he warns trio about siren is resemble Popeye from Popeye the Sailorman.
