Mega Spikes are a larger variant of Spikes featured in a few Mario games. They make their debut appearance in Mario Golf: World Tour

A Mega Spike is fought as a boss in the Road to Superstar mode. Its attacks involve summoning Brick Blocks and Giant Spiked Balls from the sky.

In Super Mario Maker 2[]

Just like other enlarged variants of enemies, Mega Spikes are created by using a Super Mushroom on their parent species, which in their case are Spikes. Mega Spikes act the same as regular Spikes, with size being their only difference, specifically in that a Mega Spike spits out a Giant Spiked Ball to attack.
