Superjoint This is just glorious Heavy Psych/Space rock, like the love child of Weedpecker and Slift! Favorite track: Tyrants.
Weirdo Shrine
Weirdo Shrine thumbnail
Weirdo Shrine Fuzzy prog goodness, truly forward thinking metallic-edged sludge rock. For the true psychonaut adventurers. Favorite track: Tyrants.

Andy K. I became a fan of Maragda when they put out their ‘The Reckless/Evil Seed’ live single last June and have been waiting for this full length LP. It did not disappoint! This is high quality fuzzy, heavy rock. Elements of psych, garage and space rock are filtered through out the album also. If this album had a big name from the scene attached to it people would be raving about it IMO. So don’t sleep on this, it’s definitely worth your time.

Chris B. holla, this has some great psychedelic vibes... shrooooom into doom... awesome!

follow up (13.05.2024)!

after extensive listening, i have to confess that this is the greatest shit i heard in the last 10+ years...

and, it makes so much sense...

e.g. "my only link" could have been written in the early/late sixties as well...

its so refreshing and mentally constructive.

for me, this is pure medicine.

so, when you feel sick, ask your doc to prescribe a dose of tyrants "maragda"!

AWESOME!

Tyrants 06:16
Bleeding sky bring in the horizon Goosebumps when tyrants arise Sinking sun, I’ll greet their arrival A glowing pyre and a sharp scythe Good vibrations, bad vibrations Blame it on my equilibrium Must be tricks of my imagination Realization, delirium Get out of my sight Ghostly eyes seek my attention Bid farewell to my afflicted heart Double mirror reflecting a million Wicked visions from inside of mine Good vibrations bad vibrations Blame it on my equilibrium Must be tricks of my imagination Realization, delirium Magic trinkets for protection Will I ever set myself free These tyrants are my own creation I’ll shut them up in the grave with me and take them out of my mind

Skirmish 04:40
Watch your back bleeding out, it’s OK You would not stand a chance some might say Hit the ground, empty sound, taste of clay Put those haughty looks away Your sight is out a skirmish But you can give them what they wish And just put them aside Wipe them out and turn the tide Foes will try to put you down, not today No escape, once again dragged away They hit the ground, empty sound, taste of clay With their haughty looks away
3.
Endless 06:02
Wasted my time overthinking Based life on misbeliefs I must stop delving in right wrong answers I always lifted the weight on my own To handle all the wailing of the world I alone Maybe it’s good time to move on And let the tides gobble up the blood See how I break the shackles Let go the burden Floating boundlessly I am no one anymore Flowing endlessly, One with everyone I always lifted the weight on my own to handle all the wailing of the world I alone Maybe it’s good time to move on And let the tides gobble up the blood

My Only Link 04:48
Would be all the time you saw me around Would you recognise the truth in my eyes If you had to tell the story of us Could you be so sure like you are now You seem worried Does it not turn hard to make no mistakes When this joy seemed so humane What else could we do to not be afraid Otherwise we are dragged away Would be all that time I smiled to your face Could it be my only link If you had to tell the story of us Would you say it was humane You seem worried The time you saw me around Oh when I see your face few little things remain I remember all the same

Sunset Room 05:33
One step has gone too far You’ll miss the blue sky fade to dark This place, the Sunset Room I must go find it and scape the gloom The corridor sounds like a stream The carpet ripples under bare feet At some point it might well seem You’ve left the hallway behind a blink How did you kind sage Find you had the skill I did close my eyes And light did leave a stain I was just a child I could not explain When the night was near I knew I would create I doubt now I’d be too late Stay in the garden, I need to rest But this place, the Sunset Room I must go find it To escape the gloom

Fanatics on a pilgrimage to the sacred shrine Nothing left to lose, the only thing they have is time Bringing devastation heading to their promised land Fanatics on a pilgrimage don’t seem to understand I’m the Singing Mountain Heretics on a mission to convince the hollow minds Nothing to believe as they are liars shaking hands they plant the seed of ignorance in every piece of land Heretics on a mission they don’t seem to understand I’m the Singing Mountain I’ve witnessed the first light I’ve erased every man Who tried to take the Singing Mountain And I’ll witness the last night I’ll welcome every man Who sings along with the Singing Mountain

Godspeed! 04:00
This is how it feels to meet your fate Godspeed you to part again Your next step, human race Today your the techno birth For the click will match your heart May the launch begin! Once you see it can’t be stopped Hope is cold as is the space Human shields and human spades Your next step, human race For the tick will match your heart May the launch begin!

Loose 07:57
Now that my time is ending I got to see things clear Now that I’ll be among the stars, maybe I can guide your way and light it up right from the heights The heights. Loose… Tired, I’m so tired of waiting I hope the end is near Now that it’s too late and dark, I’m ready Take me with you where this nonsense means nothing Nothing.
