P6615

edit

Hi,

I was running some Pywikibot code to analyze the usage of labels in Akan (ak), and found a thing that is unrelated to what I'm actually doing, but somewhat related to you :)

The items Özcan Arkoç (Q64835) and Uwe Neuhaus (Q113305) cause Pywikibot to crash. Both of them had the P6615 (P6615), now deleted. You removed the statement with that property from both of them, but it's probably still cached somewhere, so Pywikibot gets confused by it.

I reported it as a Pywikibot issue at https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T374681. I think that such an issue shouldn't crash Pywikibot completely, so there's probably something to fix there, but perhaps there's also something to improve in the way in which statements with deleted properties are removed? Hi, I have just been informed some time ago that statements should be removed before deleting the property and not the other way around. Unfortunately I cannot change anything for past deletions, but we should do it this way for future property deletions. --Ameisenigel (talk) 14:51, 16 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
It makes sense to me to remove the statements before deleting the properties, but is that really the issue?
Is there perhaps a way to somehow purge those items, or are they now stuck forever with this problem? Amir E. Aharoni {{🌎🌍🌏}} talk 14:59, 16 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
At least this is what I was told. I am not sure how this problem could be resolved. --Ameisenigel (talk) 15:01, 16 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
