Springtrap, formerly known as William Afton, is the main antagonist of the EthGoesBOOM series, serving as the Fazbear Family's most common enemy, especially to Golden Freddy.
Much like every other character, he is played by EthGoesBoom himself. For his first few appearances, he was voiced by WhackyCast.

What Makes Him Heinous?[]
- Overall, even before his springlocking, he was a terrible, manipulative person with an undying sense for bloodlust.
- Using the Spring Bonnie suit, he would lure and kill five children, something he still doesn't feel regret over.
- Upon opening Circus Baby's Pizza World, it would cause his daughter, Elizabeth, to be indirectly murdered by Circus Baby during the Grand Opening. Though it was unintentional and William still feels remorse for it, it's highly likely it was gonna be done to numerous other children.
- In 1987, during the opening of the New and Improved Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, he had programmed the Toy Animatronics specifically to be aggressive. Once that begins to fail, he would sneak in as Shadow Freddy, saying that he would "help" them, only to make their glitches worse. Once Golden Freddy fixes them using the cupcakes, William reveals his final glitch, which ends up making Mangle so aggressive that she ends up biting the frontal lobe off of a child. William is able to escape undetected and without consequence. The lasting effect on the animatronics leads to Golden Freddy and The Puppet erasing their memories of 1987 altogether.
- A while later, William would be mutilated inside the Spring Bonnie suit through unknown methods, and he would be locked in the Safe Room. He would unjustly grow a hatred for the animatronics for locking him inside, vowing to one day get out and kill them.
- After playing FNaF World under an agreement with the animatronics, he would end up escaping the Safe Room without the animatronics realizing, setting in motion a plan to kill everybody.
- After a little while outside the Safe Room, he had genuinely considered redeeming himself and even settled down to act upon it. However, after playing The Littlest Penguin, he changed his mind, deciding that redemption was stupid.
- He would meet Plushtrap, who offered to join him. However, Springtrap would coldly reject him due to only seeing him as a little kid.
- He would sabotage and murder Freddy Fazbear during his gameplay of Chipper and Sons. Lumber Co, before going around the pizzeria and killing Chica, Foxy, Balloon Boy, Mangle and The Puppet, turning them into his phantoms and forcing the survivors of the massacre to flee and go into hiding for thirty years, allowing Springtrap to dominate Freddy's until he was moved to Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction.
- During the events of The Fazbear Massacre, Springtrap would hunt and taunt the survivors regarding personal matters, including taunting an emotionally traumatized Bonnie for the murder of his best friends, taunting Toy Freddy for his lack of crumpets, and taunting JJ for their past friendship. Once Plushtrap came to help the Resistance in revenge, Springtrap taunted him repeatedly, calling him "good guy Plushtrap".
- During Night 6, Springtrap and Golden Freddy would face off, with Springtrap taunting Golden Freddy relentlessly. As Golden Freddy was about to escape, Springtrap would burn the building down in an attempt to take Golden Freddy with him. However, this fails, and the Phantoms are revived. Springtrap presumably escapes into the night. However, the animatronics use Golden Freddy's box to travel back in time and stop him before he can cause the massacre, locking him away in the Saferoom.
- Springtrap, while being stopped, still very clearly remembers the Fazbear Massacre, and is fond of it, calling it one of, if not, his favorite moment, showing he has no remorse over that, either.
- During the events of Ultimate Custom Night, BB and JJ would accidentally destroy Springtrap's axe, Tracy. Heartbroken and furious, Springtrap would attempt to sick a legion on the two. Once the Legion quickly disbands due to the pettiness of the reason, Springtrap decides to kill them himself. However, The Puppet is revealed to have fixed Tracy, which causes a giddy Springtrap to abandon killing them.
- During the Security Breach arc, Springtrap would taunt the already angered Golden Freddy, about how he's flattered about being the one the animatronics always blame first for the issues they have.
- Despite being considered "partially reformed" by the Puppet, Springtrap reveals in a Dead by Daylight video that he had been having murder withdrawals, and was excited to be pulled into The Entity's realm so he could murder again, hinting that his lack of murder is only due to the fact the Animatronics have locked him into a deal.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He genuinely cares for, and loves, his axe Tracy, so much so he genuinely cries when she is destroyed. He also grows soft for JJ, primarily venting to her.
- While he is taken mostly seriously, he is severely petty, as he tries to sick an entire legion on two children for accidentally destroying his axe, which the members of the Legion call him out on.
- He has a bit of honorability to his name, as he stops trying to kill BB and JJ after they fix his axe, even genuinely thanking them.
- He has a few comedic moments, such as his frustration upon being repeatedly sealed inside vents, and genuinely getting upset when The Littlest Penguin killed itself, as well as saying he was going back to sleep directly after defeating The Anamoly.
- Despite being genuinely innocent and how roughly he was handled by Golden Freddy, Springtrap still completes the Princess Quest ending in Security Breach, which helped the animatronics in their fight against Glitchtrap, when he could've just ditched the animatronics.
