Gregory is the main protagonist of the Steel Wool era of the Five Nights at Freddy's franchise.
He serves as the main protagonist of Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach, the overarching protagonist of its Ruin DLC sequel, and the titular main antagonist of the Tales from the Pizzaplex story GGY.
He is a middle school student who has several ties to the mysteries of Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex, including luring those who come close to uncovering the truth to their deaths at the Pizzaplex. Originally working under Glitchtrap with Vanny, he would somehow change for the better for unknown reasons before trying to escape the Pizzaplex with the help of Glamrock Freddy, the one robot not trying to kill him for betraying Glitchtrap.
However, even after redemption, Gregory would continue pulling off questionable actions like physically destroying the three other Glamrocks for their parts after they tried to kill him or even an attempt to keep the Mimic imprisoned, resulting in him betraying his friend Cassie.
He is voiced by Marta Svetek.

What Makes Him Heinous?[]
In General[]
- While Glitchtrap and Vanny were far worse, Gregory still stands out as he's the main reason four of Vanny’s therapists were killed and the Glamrocks were hacked under serving them. He also has less resources than the two of them since he is just a child.
- While he does have some comedic moments in the base game of Security Breach, such as being disappointed that he got a Mr. Hippo fridge magnet and calling it "crappy," or even making jerkish insults about the other Glamrocks and the Map Bots, he's still played very seriously throughout his appearances and his crimes in the books and the situations he's in are played for horror and are never played for laughs.
Books and Games[]
- He somehow started working for Glitchtrap, helping him in his schemes.
- He hacked all the Glamrock animatronics into following Glitchtrap's orders into becoming homicidal, likely to have them hunt any child that was left behind at the Pizzaplex after hours, and thus being willing to murder if needed.
- He manipulated Vanny into making sure she'll keep listening to Glitchtrap.
- He killed four of Vanessa’s therapists all because they came close to discovering the truth about Vanessa. It's said they died in very brutal ways. While off-screen, this does not negate Gregory's heinousness as they have on-screen effects.
- When Tony started investigating several people's deaths, Gregory brought him to the Pizzaplex with implications that he killed him.
- By far his most heinous act was when he damages Glamrock Chica, Roxanne Wolf, and Montgomery Gator in extremely brutal ways just to use their parts to make Glamrock Freddy stronger as a way to get back at them for trying to kill him and even lies to Freddy so he'll take the parts.
- Although this was mostly justified given how the other Glamrocks tried to kill him beforehand with there being no way they could be saved from brainwashing, it's still not treated as a good thing in-universe, with Freddy being worried for Chica and Roxy, with even Cassie expressing sympathy towards them (except Monty for obvious reasons) instead of malice and even wants to help them, and Roxanne herself holding a burning hatred towards him for deforming her and stealing her eyes.
- And while Gregory himself didn't take any sadistic joy in doing so, he showed no remorse over what he did as he stated that they deserved it when talking to Freddy in Parts and Service after freeing him from his imprisonment, and even if Gregory didn't know they would revived from his actions, he still wouldn't care.
- To make his destruction of the Glamrocks even worse; considering they survived their impacts and are in constant agony over their special body parts being gone almost forever during the events of Ruin: Roxy crying heavily over her looks now being ruined forever and being unable to see (both physically and psychologically) which forces her to use her hear to know her direction, as well as wearing a mask to hide her destroyed face, Monty being reduced to a legless wild animal to the point he was completely beyond redemption due to being too feral to be reasoned with, and almost all of them were left to rot at the establishment after it was destroyed by an earthquake to the point they were completely beyond repair and saving, meaning he ultimately subjected them to a fate worse than death and ruined their lives forever.
- Although not confirmed as of now, he drops Cassie to her presumed death because he doesn't want the Mimic to be freed.
What Makes Him Inconsistent?[]
- He ends up redeeming himself sometime before Security Breach, seeking to stop more murders from happening, growing to care for Glamrock Freddy (to the point he eventually viewed him as a general father like figure) and even redeeming Vanessa despite having zero reason to do so.
- He cares for his friends, as he shows concern for Glamrock Freddy's safety various times, even saving both him and Vanessa from Glitchtrap in both the Burntrap and Princess Quest endings, and was shown to have comforted Cassie before the events of the game when she was crying (presumably over no one showing up to her birthday). Although he presumably killed Cassie, he was very reluctant about it and apologized while doing so, as he needed to do it to prevent the Mimic to be freed.
- His actions following his redemption make him more of an extremist as opposed to an outright villain, as him supposedly dropping Cassie to her presumed death was to stop the Mimic from escaping and killing more people.
Trivia[]
- It's been heavily speculated by fans that Gregory, like Vanessa, was brainwashed by Glitchtrap into serving him. If that was confirmed, it would make him even more inconsistent.
- Others speculated, however, that Gregory was actually the reincarnation of Vanessa's father, Bill A., and that him working with the Glitchtrap could be means of manipulating the latter and truly pulling the strings. If this is true, then this makes Gregory/Bill A. NPE.
- Some fans theorize it's not Gregory who betrayed Cassie, but rather Mimic impersonating him again. Even if true, Gregory would still be IH.
