We at Avtar deeply mourn the passing of our dear colleague, Jai Vijayakumar ( BFSI Hiring ), Associate Manager-Talent Acquisition, who left us on November 12th. A talented professional, Jai was immensely loved by his colleagues and friends. He will always be remembered for his grit, hard work, and the spirit of camaraderie and positivity he brought to everyone around him. During his stint at Avtar, he achieved several professional and personal milestones — a testimony to his resilience and unflinching ability to overcome obstacles and situations. His infectious energy and enthusiasm will continue to serve as an inspiration for many Avtarites. We pray for his eternal peace, and stand with his loved ones during this difficult time. Even as we were in the midst of conducting the 9th edition of the Best Companies, we received the heartbreaking news of the passing of Jai Vijayakumar ( BFSI Hiring ) - our beloved colleague and fellow-traveller in Avtar The Power of Diversity's journey. Jai, 35, left us on the morning of November 12th, far too soon, causing unbearable shock and sorrow even as we were preparing to welcome the delegates to #BOB2024. (How the team rallied around and organized Jai's last journey - is something I will share another time). Jai's remarkable career trajectory, from an apprentice, hired as a Recruitment Process Trainee to Associate Manager-Talent Acquisition, exemplified his unwavering dedication and unrelenting drive to get ahead in life. Singlehandedly, Jai managed the education and marriage of his two younger sisters before getting married to Abinaya T P who he met at Avtar. A passionate cyclist and a true Ayyappa devotee, Jai's zest for life was contagious. His vibrant spirit, infectious laughter, and generous heart touched every life he met. His remarkable achievements, including winning the prestigious Dream Fund award as well as several Star of the Quarter awards, serve as a testament to his exceptional talent and commitment. Jai's resilience to rise up from poverty and establish a great career and life for himself, was an inspiration to all. Jai, why Jai? Why did you let go of your pursuit of good health and good habits? Your absence leaves a gaping hole in our hearts, Jai. May your soul find eternal peace and tranquility. May Lord Ayyappa hold you in His arms.
