Cassette Kids is a tabletop role-playing game about a group of high school teenagers in 80s America uncovering strange happenings in their small town. Cassette Kids is quick and easy to learn and play, making it ideal for one-shots or short adventures. The free edition has 6 of the 12 available tropes to choose from.

• A UNIQUE ANGST MECHANIC
  • Cassette Kids uses d6s to determine the outcome of certain actions. You roll a number of d6s equal to one of your skills, with 6s representing successes. But when teenage tensions run high, you also role with ANGST dice. A sperate set of dice, where 6s still count as successes, but 1s cause your character to PANIC!!! and make the situation worse. 

• GET RIGHT INTO THE ACTION
  • Character creation is fast and easy. With 12 80s movie tropes to choose from, and relationship questions to help build drama between the group, you can get playing unique and fun characters in no time. 

•  BUILD A VIBRANT TOWN TOGETHER
  • Players take turns answers questions to help build a small American town filled with mysteries and horror. Questions like What is the name of the high school sports team? Who is the sheriff of the town? Who really controls the town? They also create rumors about the town the GM can use to build gripping stories. 

• UNFORGETTABLE ABILITIES 
  • Every trope comes with 2 unique abilities that can completely change the way a situation will play out. For example: The BULLY, who can create blackmail about anyone in the town to use as leverage, or the PUNK who can deal extra damage to property and authority figures, all in the name of justice!

• LET THE 80s MUSIC ROCK!!!
  • Music plays a big roll in Cassette Kids. Everyone gets to choose a theme song that helps represent who their character is, and can play it when they do something awesome.
