History[]
Xavier first appears when Wednesday enters Nevermore Academy and Enid introduces him to the different students in the school. Later in the episode, Xavier and other students observe the fencing match between Wednesday and Bianca. Right after, he saves Wednesday as a gargoyle was about to fall on her. Afterwards, he takes her to the infirmary where he tells how she saved him by pulling him out of a coffin he was locked in before it was cremated.
In the following episode, Wednesday asks Xavier about Rowan and says he had gone mad and even threw him against the dorm wall. Then, Xavier participates in the Edgar Allan Poe Cup, but loses with his team as Wednesday's wins the game. In the following episode, the Nevermore School volunteers in Jericho so that the two communities bond more. Xavier therefore works at the Weathervane bar, but he is frustrated to see Wednesday chatting with Tyler Galpin. At the end of the episode, we see him coming out of a cabin in the forest with claw marks on his neck.
Suspicious, Wednesday follows Xavier to the cabin and sneaks inside where she discovers paintings and drawings of the Hyde, the monster that terrorizes the population. As they leave, Xavier notices her and Wednesday lies saying that she wanted to talk with him about their homework. Afterwards, Xavier thinks she came to ask him to go to Rave'N with him. Suspecting that Xavier might be the Hyde, Wednesday confirms this to get the chance to insvestigate him. But later, Xavier notices Wednesday again now in his workshop. When she asks about the drawings, Xavier explains that he had recurrent dreams with the monster and that he got the claw marks on his neck after one of the drawings scratched him. He then realizes that she came earlier just to insvestigate his workshop. In frustration, he asks her leave the place. Eventually, he goes to Rave'N with Bianca. However, he is jealous seeing Wednesday with Tyler and asks Bianca to make him forget about her. Hurt, Bianca walks away.
In "Quid Pro Woe", Xavier, Enid and their group of friends wish Wednesday a happy birthday and give her a cake, although she doesn't eat it. Investigating again, Wednesday questions Xavier about his portal design. Right after, Thing shows a painting of Wednesday playing the cello. He animates it for her, but indifferent, Wednesday leaves the cabin. Later, Xavier appears after Wednesday, Enid and Tyler are attacked by the Hyde and he gives a tissue to an injured Tyler.
In the following episode, Wednesday is convinced that Xavier is the Hyde and that he is being controlled by the psychiatrist Kinbott. As she explains her theory, she discovers all the evidence in the workshop, surprising even Xavier. Suddenly, the police comes in and arrests Xavier. Shocked and angry, Xavier says he should have let Rowan kill Wednesday. Later, Wednesday discovers that Tyler is actually the Hyde and asks Xavier for advice in prison. Still and rightly angry, the latter tells her to go away.
Afterwards, Sheriff Galpin drives his car with Xavier inside, as they drive into the forest. As the sheriff leaves, he leaves Xavier in the vehicle and he is freed by Thing. Xavier then runs to the school and shoots Joseph Crackstone with his bow. However, the man manages to turn the arrow against him and Wednesday takes it instead of Xavier. At the end of the episode, Xavier says goodbye to Wednesday and gives her a cell phone. He tells her that she will only have to text when needed.
